Singer Composer Vishal Dadlani turns 44
The popular singer and music composer of Bollywood, Vishal Dadlani turns 44. Born on June 28th 1973, Vishal Dadlani is one of the best music producers that Bollywood has seen in its current times. He is the composer, playback singer, music record producer, lyricist and performer.

He started his career in 1994, with the rock band Pentagram formed in Mumbai. We Are Not Listening (1996-2001), was the first album of Pentagram. Pentagram won MTV India's Artist of the Month award in 1997; the Channel V awards for Best Live Band; and Best Indian Band in 1997 and 1998. They won the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent for Jhankaar Beats. 

Also regarded as one of the pioneers of original independent music, he is the vocalist of the indie rock band Pentagram. He is one half of the film music producing duo Vishal–Shekhar, the other being Shekhar Ravjiani. The duo consisting of Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani worked in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Marathi films.  They have composed music for 60 films, released over 300 songs and performed over 1000 shows worldwide.

Vishal was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He went to Hill Grange High School, Mumbai. He attended Jai Hind College and H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. Vishal was graduated in 1994 with a degree of Bachelor of Commerce.

The singer has sung many famous songs in Bollywood. The duo notable works include JhankaarBeats (2003), Dus (2005), Bluffmaster (2005), I See You (2006), Om Shanti Om (2007), Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), Dostana (2008), Anjaana Anjaani(2010), Ra.One (2011), Student of the Year (2012),Chennai Express (2013), Bang Bang! (2014) and Happy New Year (2014). They also composed the song "Tu Aashiqui Hai". 

They have been judges on the star hunt show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 and the musical talent show Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star with director and choreographer Farah Khan. They are the judges on Amul Star Voice of India Mummy Ki Superstars. Both Vishal and Shekhar appeared as judges in the reality singing show for children and teens, Indian Idol Junior, Season One, while only Vishal appeared in Season two. Vishal has also performed a Sufi performed with DEV GUPTA influenced song "Madari" in the Season 2 of Coke Studio.

Vishal is a globe trotter and is known for his versatility. He also founded the extremely popular indie-giant OML aka Only Much Louder with Vijay Nair in the year 2002 which is a huge music festival that is celebrated in all the metro cities of India. Although Vishal is no longer a part of the core group at OML, he still performs for Pentagram at the music festival. He also launched his own label in 2015 namely ‘Vishal Likes This’ aka VLT.

He was also a part of the musical documentary known as ‘The Dewarists’ where he collaborated with Imogen Heap. He also collaborated with international star Akon for Ra.One. A creator of indie rock, pop music and electronica, he has brought the much needed change in Indian music industry and his openness towards the variety of music is something than has got him to this league.
