Abhishek Bachachan was supposed to be a part of JP Dutta’s upcoming film “Paltan” but now he has quit the film at last minute and the when it was asked to JP Dutta about the reason behind Abhishek’s departure, he was clueless. It Dutta’s Refugee in 2000 in which Abhishek made his debut opposite Kareena Kapoor and later both collaborated in the films like LOC, Kargil and Umroa Jaan.
Abhishek left the film project of “Paltan” just 2 days prior of shooting and when it was asked to Dutta why Abhishek backed out of the project, Dutta told the reporters, "Please go and speak to the Bachchans and let me know,because even I don't know."
Abhishek is now replaced by actor Harshvadhan Rane, who is now signed three film deal with JP Dutta. The trailer of the Paltan was launched today. The film is based on the Nathul La and Cho La military Clashes, which took place along the Indo-Chinese border in October of 1967.
The 68-year-old returns to direction after Umrao Jaan, which released in 2006. Dutta said he was born to make films and he finds happiness when he is directing. "I was born to do this job. For me,happiness lies in making films. When director I'm not making one I'm sad...When you are young you realise what your calling is. I think I've been sent to do this. To make our soldiers immortal," the director said. Paltan is produced by JP Films and presented by Zee Studios and is scheduled to releaseon September 7.
Speaking about his association with films and his job as a director, J P Dutta told PTI: "I was born to do this job. For me,happiness lies in making films. When director I'm not making one I'm sad. When you are young you realise what your calling is. I think I've been sent to do this. To make our soldiers immortal."
